Our Place brand embodies a clean and friendly design aesthetic celebrating use of color, modularity, and simplicity. Keeping that in mind, we were tasked to design an elevated, versatile, and compact dish rack. We targeted the form and CMF to align with their established style and existing line of kitchenware, while also exploring different architectures that would effectively hold and dry their current items. Testing multiple competitive dish racks on the market, we pinpointed features that could be implemented. Through that sprint of market testing, user experience testing, prototypes, and sketching, we finally delivered 3 preliminary concept direction renders they could use to further develop their new kitchenware items, the Dish Rack and Roll Out Rack.
